Winter Mountain Shadows 2 – Pipestone River, Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada – December 2011

Early morning images from the banks of the Pipestone River in Lake Louise, Banff National Park.  At this time of day the valley is in deep shadow casting the blue light.  The colour version may have too much blue from the shadow overpowering the foreground.  Decided to experiment with a black & while conversion to bring attention to the geometry of the foreground snow and ice.
