Rio On Pools Landscape, Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Belize – May 2009

Image captured handheld during a pause in the rain at the Rio On Pools in Cayo District, Belize.  The rain increased the saturation of the rock and leaves and the overcast sky provided soft, almost shadow free lighting.  The composition was created to hi-light the white tree trunks against the brown and black tones of  the rock and fallen leaves.
